THE ROUTE TO LITTLE LODGE FROM LIMASSOL

The route to Little Lodge in Maroni coming from Lemessos/Limassol towards Lefkosia/Nicosia on the highway. You leave the highway at exit 15 for zyggi. Once you come off stay on that short road to the T junction where you could turn right for Zyggi but you will turn left for Psematismenos, this is the old Nicosia - Limassol road. Stay on it for a mile or so till you see a wee sign for Psematismenos, take a right there, it goes back over the highway and stay till you have passed thru the village of Psematismenos, Once out of the village you will eventually come to a V in the road, right for Zyggi  but take the left for Maroni. Once in Maroni you pass the bank on the left then you come to a Xroads with a Phone box on the left and a small signpost ‘village centre’, turn right there. You will pass the church on your right and you take the very next wee turning on your right, Ay Marinas, it's a tight chicane but bigger than it appears. You will come out into a square where everyone parks their car turn right to go around the square and in the far corner is Ay Minas street we are the last house at the bottom on the right...no. 14. From the airport you take a left and follow the signposts to Lemessos/Limassol which will take you on to the highway.After a good few miles it will give you the options of Nicosia or Limassol stay with the highway for Limassol. Once on the limassol spur of the highway look for and come off at exit 14 for Choirokitia, Psematismenos and Maroni and turn right, stay on this road which will pass under a bridge till you come to a Tjunction, turn right and stay on this road for a good few miles. Finally you will take a left at a tiny signpost for Psematismenos a long winding little road through the dry river valley. Pass all the way through the village of Psematismenos and pass the church on your right after which the road begins to dip and come to a Y junction  take the left for Maroni . Once in the village you will take a right at the first large X roads, on the left of which there is a telephone kiosk and a small signpost ‘village centre. Pass the church on your right and the road becomes very narrow at which point you take the first right into a very narrow chicane, Agias Marinas, and come out into a large square where people park cars, turn right to go all the way around the square and take the little lane in the far corner, this is Ay Minas at the far end of which is our house No 14, the last house on the edge of the valley. From Paphos airport take the highway towards Lefkosia/Nicosia and come off at exit 15 for Zyggi it’s about an hour’s drive. This exit rd will end in a T where you turn left towards Nicosia on to the old Lemessos/Limassol- Nicosia road....beware you don't go back on to the highway as it's not too well signposted. Follow this rd for a good few miles. Take a right at a wee signpost for Psematismenos, this is a long winding valley rd. Pass thru Psematismenos and outside of it the rd will dip and split. Take the left for Maroni. Once in the village you will come to a large X roads with a telephone kiosk and post boxes on the left....take a right here for ‘village centre’. Eventually you will pass the church where the road narrows right down...take the very next turning right into Ay Marinas, a tiny tight chicane, there is more room than you think. Once you come thru take a right around the square where everyone parks their car.
